Piano Services and Prices:

• Piano Tuning  -  Usually to standard pitch, A = 440.   Tuning charges range from $65 to $75, depending on the location's distance from Woodstock, IL.

• Pitch Raise  -  For pianos that have drifted very low in pitch.  If a pitch raise is desired, the charge is $40 for the second visit.

• Repairs  -  Broken keys, hammers, other internal parts.  Sticking keys, trapwork (pedal) problems, string replacements, damper problems, etc.  The charge is $40 per hour for repairs plus the cost of any needed parts.

• Keytop Replacements  -  Both white keys and sharps.  For upright pianos, the keys are taken into our shop and re-covered.  For grands, the action assembly is taken in.  A total keyboard replacement usually takes two to three weeks.   Replace all white keytops:  $249.   Replace all sharps:  $139.

• Inspections and Estimates  -  I'm always available to go out and estimate the value of a piano you are considering purchasing or selling, or to render advice on particular problems with your piano.  The charge is $40 per hour including travel time.
